Throws Camp (July 6)
Rich is an extremely technically talented wrestler who has always been known for his judo style, high level throws. This is a great camp to add a very dangerous bag of tricks into any wrestlers arsenal. COST WILL BE $10 FOR PROGRAM MEMBERS $20 PROGRAM NON MEMBERS Coach Rich Catalano graduated from North Allegheny High School where he was a two time W.P.I.A.L. champ in 1987 and 1989 and a P.I.A.A. champ in 1989. In addition, he was a PA Freestyle State Champion and a Greco-Roman State and National Champion. At the University of Iowa he wrestled for legendary Coach Dan Gable and was a varsity starter on three National Championship teams. While at Iowa, Rich placed at Freestyle Nationals, Espoir Nationals, Midlands and placed 4th and 2nd at the Olympic Festival. He finished his collegiate wrestling career at the University of Pittsburgh where he was undefeated in dual meets in 1993-94, placed 1st at the E.W.L. Tournament, was voted Outstanding Wrestler, and placed 4th at the N.C.A.A. Tournament.
